Fabric rose & ribbon wreath

Ok. So my Mom likes Coca-Cola themed items. Truth be told - she is obsessed with Coca-Cola, she has an entire room OVERFLOWING with Cola-Cola items. While cute, it almost looks like a red, black & white bomb exploded in there. So I thought, she needs just ONE MORE THING to put in there :) (Love that Lady)

Let's get this wreath party started!

The Supplies:
1-Styrofoam ring ($3.99); 5 -1/4 yard of various patterns of fabric (round about $5); 1 spool wide ribbon ($2); 1 spool narrow ribbon ($2) - you can decide what width you like best, I went w/ 1.5 & .5.
Wrap your wreath with your wide ribbon (and improvise with a little coordinating fabric if you didn't buy enough like yours truly). Secure along the way with little dabs of hot glue.

Cut your fabric into about 2inch wide strips. Doesn't have to be perfect, a little imperfection gives it "charm"
Ok - on to making the fabric rose:
Flip your fabric strip over and hot glue it on the bottom to halve it.
This is what you should be looking at now.
Half it again, but only the first 6 inches of the strip.

Start at the end and roll it up. I secure every 2 rounds or so with a teeny dot of hot glue.
Ok, here comes the semi-tricky part. You ready? After the doubled section ends, twist the ribbon about a half turn, dot of glue, half-twist, glue. It's ok if the seam shows a little (charm, remember?). Do this until you have a little material left.
Wrap the last bit of material around the back and secure with my best friend (aka hot glue)

It should look something like this. Although each rose looks a little different (which is nice, makes them unique)
Glue them bad boys on all cute like. (I used hot glue, but gorilla glue should work just as well)
Place your narrow ribbon on the remaining portion and make a snake effect by making an arch and securing with glue at the bottom (I just eyeballed the width, it came out to about an inch or so).
Add a little bling.bling - I placed some left over from another project rhinestones I had in the valley of the narrow ribbon, to the top of some roses, and in between some roses as well.

Viola! A Coca-Cola inspired wreath for the beautiful woman who birthed me.... hope she likes it!
